Documentary film &amp; the musical fringes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we're happy to announce the inception of a new film festival: \"SONICA EKRANO - Documentary film &amp; the musical fringes\", which will take place between the 9th and 18th of September in Barreiro and Baixa da Banheira (Moita Municipality).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The name SONICA EKRANO, written in Esperanto (meaning \u201cSound Screen\u201d in English), seeks to reflect both music and cinema as \u201cuniversal languages\u201d, while also honouring the strong esperantist tradition in the south bank of the Tagus river.<\/p>\n<p>This new festival is dedicated to the music, musicians, sounds and movements at the edges of massification and popularity, creating\u00a0a new space to provide the opportunity to watch cinematic works which remain (even in an age of digital platforms with on-demand content) hard to access, contributing to an increased audiovisual inclusiveness, striving to present a diversity of geographies and strike a\u00a0balance between historical perspective and contemporary narratives.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">This first edition will present 13 feature-length films, almost half of them national premieres, and the full programme will be revealed by the middle of August at the festival's website: www.sonicaekrano.com<\/p>\n<p>This festival is created by OUT.RA -
