After an historic concert at OUT.FEST 2019, Brazilian trio Deafkids are back to ADAO for the start of another high-impact European tour full of strobes, intoxicating smoke and headbanging until your neck hurts. We had this to say about them back then (and they’re words we stand by): “They mix various aspects of initiatic hardcore punk, several declinations of metal, and a rhythmic tribalization which is a sort of a Sepultura via Motorhead-style psychedelic hard’n’heavy, with a lot of moments which are more on the abstract, with a lot of pages taken out of hairy rock with a ton of delay.” If that sounds good in writing, know that those who had the chance to experience it recommend it and ask for more. And more we shall have!
Clementine are a trio made up of Shelley Barradas, Helena Fagundes and Chris Bernardes, a classic drums-bass-guitar outfit with their foot firmly on the transformative power of songs as a motor for the necessary inner convulsions enabling the day-to-day. With them comes their latest album, “Motorhome”, eight pieces of passionate psychedelic garage reverence with legends such as Bikini Kill or Sleater-Kinney pulsing strongly within, and a promised new body of work we’ll likely have the privilege of having an early listen to.
