GABRIEL FERRANDINI, PEDRO SOUSA & RODRIGO PINHEIRO – ARTISTIC RESIDENCY
In June and July 2017 the three forward-thinking portuguese jazz musicians developed a residency at the iconic Casa da Cultura, in Barreiro (Lisbon South Bay).
In this short documentary they talk about the musical challenges in their work as a trio and about the "New Lisbon Jazz" scene which had been recently documented on The Wire Magazine.
The residency was supported by Baía do Tejo and Direcção-Geral das Artes, and it featured, besides days of playing and recording, an open rehersal and a final show at the Municipal Library.
